Orange,
Summer Girls
Forget about summer bodies, today we’re talking summer BOOBIES in partnership with Wacoal!
So for whatever reason, one of the most frequently asked questions is all about my girls. I don’t show them off much because I tend to dress more on the conservative size style wise (what I lack in skin showing I make up for in color) but when I do they get a lot of attention.
MY BODY BACK STORY:
I’ve had my ups and downs with my breasts (literally). As some of you know if you read about my health history, I had a benign tumor removed from my right breast in high school that was the size of a lemon. I never had any implants done to replace the mass, so my boobs were a bit disproportionate for a while – one now barley a B and the other a full C. They’ve since evened out, but they’re always changing, and as I’ve grown back other masses that I haven’t had removed because they continue to fluctuate. I’ve also always had more cleavage than actual breasts (not complaining) and they’ve always gone more out then up. With these two factors in mind, it’s no wonder that my girls are always going through it – that’s why it’s so important to invest in a new bra annually (or even seasonally) and take the time to get measured.
FINDING YOUR PERFECT FIT:
Most women don’t wear the same dress size they did two years ago. We loose and gain weight, we shift body shapes and the sizing in the industry can change, all resulting in us needing to go up or down a size. The same should be true for your bra, and getting sized by a pro every so often is necessary to getting the perfect fit.
WACOAL AT MACYS:
I’m super guilty of just playing a guessing game when it comes to my girls. I’ve been a C for like ever so I usually buy bras online and in my same size. It wasn’t until I got fitted by a Wacoal Fit Consultant in Macy’s a few weeks ago that I realized I’ve been wearing the wrong size … uh, oops! Instead of a C, I should be wearing a D *news flash* and getting fitted for the right size changed my life. Going up a cup size helped me feel more secure and supported, and kept even my cleavage-heavy girls from popping out on occasion, which was a previous problem of mine. The other thing I learned, is that you might be a different size in different styles. While I’m a C/D in a t-shirt bra, or a D in a more classic/supportive style like you see here, I’m a DD in strapless. I mean who knew! Getting fitted by a Wacoal fit consultant has really changed the life of my ladies for the better!
WHAT I’M WEARING
So now that I’m more the size of a melon than a grapefruit, I decided to dress the part with today’s look. I bought this cauuuttteee coral wrap dress for a stop motion video and instantly fell in love… but this dress was clearly made for someone who was lacking in the breast department and mine just didn’t want to stay put. I first tried this dress on with one of my old bras and immediately decided to return it. But after trying it out with my new Lace Affair T-Shirt Bra, the dress fit better and provided more coverage … all because of the bra! Since Wacoal had some cute colored bras available, I decided to get the neon-esque Lace Affair T-Shirt Bra and Lace Affair Tanga Bikini set in Desert Flower/Wind Chime to match my peach dress perfectly! The color, combined with the cute feminine details found in the style gave me the confidence to rock this coral frock without fear of a peekaboo moment!
HELLO SUMMER
While I was at Wacoal, I also picked up the Red Carpet Strapless Bra in my new strapless size for all my off-the-shoulder summer styles.
