Unicorn Bachelorette
Unicorns and rainbows and sprinkles – oh my!
Few weeks ago, I threw my bestie a candy coated bachelorette weekend before she says I do. Her big day is actually tomorrow (yay) so I’m writing to you from forty thousand feet somewhere between San Diego and New York City, weee.
Before I go into full blown bridesmaid mode – I wanted to share how we celebrated her last single girl weekend in style unicorn style.
Let’s start by setting the mood – hop to my spotifty, follow me & start listening to our unicorn bach playlist! You won’t regret it!
Surprisingly, I can’t take credit for the unicorn theme – just all of the rainbow tactic things to follow, my bestie set her sights on that one all on her own.
Sheree is one of two brides, so the weekend started with a joint fiesta bridal shower thrown by one of the other brides maids. After the party, was the after party – Ree said bye to her bride and we all head to the house to get things started
Our weekend
I worked with the bride & a few other bridesmaid to plan a chill, yet fun weekend. We’re all #veryverybusy so we thought it would be fun to relax and spend time together. We rented a house in my home state of Arizona, where we would set up camp for the weekend. The bride to be, Sheree, is all about movies so that was another highlight of the weekend – group binge watching which included the necessary movies (Fifty Shades, Magic Mike XXL and The Hang Over – DUH) and a few fun series like Big Little Lies. While we watched, we had a few activities to participate in >> Polaroid photos in a home made photo booth, DIY denim jackets with fun pins & patches from some of my favorite shops and a rainbow piñata because WHY NOT.
Eats
My favorite meal was the first morning one – rainbow bagels with funfetti cream cheese all the way from the bagel store in NYC! You may have seen these cuties on instagram, but even if you’re not in the big apple they ship nation wide – say what!
I hired my younger brother to be our designate driver and personal chauffeur for the weekend, and he was such a big help. He brought us a healthy lunch and drove us out to fancy dinner before we went out.
Going Out
We only went out out one night but I was really happy with it. I’m not a big club gal (could you have guessed ha) and neither is Sheree – so we ended up going to the local casino and dancing in their club. It was free and so fun, plus the crowd was great. We didn’t want to dance with guys or get hit on, just to get down on the floor with our girl group – and we did.
Decor
My favorite part of planning this weekend, was the decor! I did all my shopping at party city and it was super easy to find everything I needed for a great price. I just searched rainbow, unicorn, and lisa frank online and found more than I could have ever dreamed of. From unicorn balloons, to candy colored sprinkles they had it all!
When the girls got there, we had cute bando gift bags with onesies, aerie pajamas & more! This was a great way to get everyone excited about the weekend and what was to come.
For photos, we created an easy photo booth with streamers and cloud balloons. Honestly, all I did is tape them in clusters and put them up on the wall – SO EASY and a great backdrop for Polaroids and insta photos!
The best part of the weekend for me (aside from reconnecting with my friends) was living in my unicorn onesie. These are technically my little pony onesies, but they got the job done. I picked one of these for each girl up at party city and never ever wanted to take them off
The horn on top of a majestic weekend had to be the worlds cutest carrot cake I think I’ll call her spark! She looks like a spark right?!
