Rent the Runway X Color Me Courtney – The Sequel!!!

It’s here!!! I’m sooo excited to share my 2nd Rent the runway collection is here!!! It’s available to rent or buy now on rent the runway! You can rent it on your own or sign up for a membership (the best deal) to rent without limits! Members can also purchase the collection! I designed this in the middle of the pandemic (last summer) without knowing what our world would look like now. I assumed we would be sick of sweatpants but still craving comfort so i opted for easy cotton, loose fabrics & flowy dresses. You can work in these fits all day and get that comfort we’ve become accustomed to while looking super cute OR you can dress them up for a night out or your grand re-entry into the world!

All of the pieces are named after important people in my life, so i wanted to walk you through

The Tangerine and Pangerine set are named after “Paris’s followers”. Just as I say “hey cuties” he thinks it’s fun to mock me by saying “hey tangerine, tangerine pears”. I think it’s very sloppy but you seem to like it so enjoy it!!!

We also have the ellie top, which is similar to the tangerine but done in a different print. We did this same top last year in yet another print and named it the Lori after my mom. This one is Ellie, after my Grandma Eleanore!

Last year i introduced you to the Sheree Romper after my best friend Sheree, but this year we have the Keiko romper after my other best friend keiko! I let Keiko pick her piece and she snagged this romper! It’s fitting because keiko has hand-made me a few cute rompers similar to this that you can never buy, so I’m glad this one is available to you!

Sticking with gingham, i named the Bobbie dress after our other best friend & Keiko’s partner Bobby ! I asked him if he wanted the romper instead but he said that orange is his favorite color so we named the dress after one of the sunniest people i know!

Another friend i’ve had for years is Kristin, who recently got married to someone named Chris. So their couple name is just that: Kris! I had to name this yellow top that i’ve been wearing non-stop after them & the matching skirt is “Susana” after one of the wonderful women who worked so hard to bring this collection together.

Also on the dream team from the RTR side was Louise, so i named this two-toned dress after her! In the first drop, i named a few pieces after people on my team, like my agent Emily!

We have the quinn polka dot dress, named after me but it really reminds me of one of my most loyal cuties: Quinn! Quinn comments on every post 2-3 times and i love chatting with her constantly in the dms!

The beau dress and cutie dress are both really similar. I named beau after the detail but also as an homage to rainbow johnson in blackish who’s one of my favorite characters in TV ever. The cutie dress is obviously named after you cuties! We made her last year and had to bring her back in another color for ya!

My favorite dress in the collection is CECE named after my nickname. It’s two-toned because i often feel like i never fit in: not black, not white. Not plus, not straight-sized. I’m just often in the middle! I hope this dress makes people who don’t quite fit in anywhere feel a little less alone!

Although i think the cece dress is my favorite style, the Rita dress is maybe the most special in the collection! It’s named after my moms’s best friend who was like family to us. We lost her last year. She was an artist with a big heart, bright hair, bold glasses and drove a colorful car. I shot these snaps at a similar looking one in an homage to the wonderful, bold and unique woman Rita was. We miss you Rita!
