& Beyond, Pink, Rainbow,
Pom Pom Pro
I’m all about a pom, especially for summer.
We saw this trend pop up a few years ago, and I think its here to stay. Today I’ll share my pom pom predictions, and when/where it’s appropriate to wear.
From shoes to sweaters pom poms are everywhere and I’m pretty happy about it. The trend first came on the scene as a strictly summer style used to adorn mostly totes, before moving on to sandals, summer dresses, earrings and handbags (as a keychain of course).
If you just want to dip your toe in this trend, try it in earring form – but if you want to go full on pom party get a dress with all the trimmings. For this look, I went professional with pom-twist by pairing my polka-pom sweater with pink pants.
I totally would have taken this look for a twirl at the office when I was working in corporate fashion. Our office was pretty lax, but I think even if you were at somewhere with a bit more of a dress code, you could make it work by …
1 – Switching the open toed sandals for a pointed toe pump. You could choose to keep the POC or opt for something more neutral like navy or nude.
2 – Layer a short sleeve button up shirt under the sweater.
3 – Swap your pink pants.
4 – Add a blazer or a cardigan.
5 – Ditch your pants all together and opt for a pencil skirt and pumps!
Using a combo of any of the above will help you take this look from party to professional, but still keep it fun.
