Make Him Match

Okay, okay, not reallllly but there are some crazy things I do in the context of my relationship with Paris that some would categorize as crazy but HEY thats okay.

So today I’m sharing some of the crazy things I do to make him match me, including what I’ve gotten away with so you can learn from my successes and mistakes. PLUS stick around to the end for some funny blooper photos of Paris and I.

Shopping stalking – Paris exclusively buys in stores. He’s only bought one piece of clothing online for himself, ever. It was that orange hoodie that I always wear when I travel, and he visited it 3 times in stores before purchasing. It’s from Scots & Soda, which is one of his favorite places to shop because its an Amsterdam brand with great brand history and story telling (he’s very into heritage brands eye roll). Any who, because of this exclusive shopping police I’m able to stalk his purchases and buy pieces to match them online without his knowledge. Take the hoodie he’s wearing here, he saw this two times in store (we go to Scotch & Soda almost every Saturday when we walk from our neighborhood in the west village to soho to shoot and eat Rubys, on the trip we pop in along the way) so I saw that he was going to buy it and was able to start planning the look I was going to wear to make him match me I’m not crazy. We’re so in sync – I shared this tip on instagram earlier this week, but I’ve perfected the act of I didn’t plan it, we’re so in sync by letting Paris get dressed first, then watch basketball or rap battles while I get ready. He’s then a little distracted and I get to be sneaky and create a look that coordinates with his. While I’m in the bathroom, I’m like I called the uber, lets go and he doesn’t realize we’re so match matchy until we’re in the elevator or in the car by then my response is oh we spend too much time together lol or I planned my outfit last night, you copied me I’m not crazy 🙂

PRESENTS!!!! – Another great way to control the wardrobe is to buy him presents. Again, Paris doesn’t shop online so but I almost exclusively shop online so when I’m shopping for me I look for cute things for him too. When the color of the month is Lilac, he might find himself with some cute new lilac pieces in his closet . WHAT A COINCIDENCE. In Paris’s defense, he makes all his own outfits and weighs in on a lot of mine too; he also veto’s a lot of the things I buy him!
