Blushing in Lilac

Another day, another lilac post! Have you been loving our month of lavender?

Today I’m sharing a look I wore last weekend when it was like 40ish degrees, this weekend in NYC its like 70 degrees (weee) so there will be no jacket in sight. But the best part of this look is (like spring) it can go either way, switching between cool & warm weather days – so let’s jump in!

For this look I’m pairing lavender wide leg culottes with a matching lavender sweater! I bought a few lavender sweaters for this month and this one is the thickest, but you could easily rock this with a light weight sweater with this look too. To break up the lavender on lavender I took my favorite rainbow crossbody form last year (sorry its sadly sold out now, but try eBay) and wore it around my waist. Any time you have a crossbody with a strap like this, you can easily turn it into a fanny pack but tightening the strap and doubling it back through the loop – I like that it draws attention to my smallest point (my waist) and helps gives me a shape, yippee!

My favorite part of the look is my shoes, they’re form one of my favorite sneaker brands Koio who make so many fun colors! Looking back, I should have worn my blush pink pair but it was kind of cold so I wanted to wear these shearling lined cloud slippers, that are the warmest and comfiest things ever so perfect for those kind of chilly springs days where you don’t want to wear boots but you don’t want to be cold either! When I realized I would need a coat for the day, I could have opted for a lavender one but instead went with a pop of pink & a matching pink lip. When paired with the rainbow (now) belt bag, this bit of blush pulls it all together.
