Coral & Lilac

Hey cuties and welcome back to our month of CORAL – yay!

Today I wanted to talk about a really unexpected color combo I stumbled upon when creating looks for this month: coral and lilac.

To be honest, I found this color combo because I’ve been obsessed with lilac lately and own so much of it. So when I found myself experimenting with coral, pairing it with lilac was one of the first things I tried and loved. I think it works because red and purple are a perfect pair as scientifically proven by the color wheel, and coral and lilac descend from these hues. I LOVE introducing people to the color wheel and am actually working on a post for you guys that talks about how you can use it help you create outfits and understand color in the future, so stay tuned.

After I found this color combo I made probably 20 different outfits out of all the coral and lilac I had in my home… but in todays posy I’m just showing you two ways to style some of the same pieces depending on your personal style. Both looks are something I would wear on the weekend, but just use different kinds of denim or shoes to tell a different style story. Take a peek and let me know which look is more you.

Look one: for both looks I’m wearing a lilac turtleneck, beret & belt with a coral bag, coat and lip! For the first look, I added high rise tight cropped jeans and these fun tweed sneakers that Paris totally hates but I love anyway!
