Color Me Quarantine Update
HI! Hey omg, happy Monday? I think? I’m honestly never sure what day it is right now… today I just wanted to chat about some of the things getting me through over the last few weeks and just gab with you! Thanks in advance for listening!
So we’ve officially been in quarantine for a month and a half, since March 9! It’s been a unique experience but honestly, it’s not so different from my everyday life. Aside from nail appointments, meetings, and eyelash extensions, I don’t really leave my home A TON and when we do its all for work events and photoshoots lol but it’s still an adjustment. I think it is a lot harder for Paris who is used to going for a walk every morning to get his morning coffee, but he’s handling it pretty well and I’m super proud of him. It is weird being in New York right now, it’s super quiet except for 7 pm when everyone claps and cheers for the health care workers. They opened up our roof last week so we got fresh air for the first time in a month, but seeing the city so sleepy was really weird. I think we’re all realizing now that this isn’t going to be over anytime soon, but I hope we’re also learning new things about ourselves and maybe some new tasks too!
We’ve been cooking a lot and I’ve been working more than ever. I start most days around 9, manage some of the new girls I’ve hired, call my manager, answer emails, published 4 times on Instagram, engage with my audience, write blog posts and shoot a lot. as I write this now it’s 1 AM and I won’t get to bed till 3, then I’ll wake tomorrow and do it again. I’ve been working all day on the weekends too, mostly because as more people have less to do at the moment and spend more time online I end up with more work. I’m not complaining, I’m super grateful for it! Over the past weekend I actually didn’t work, I didn’t post on social and just watched romantic comedies all day lol. It was nice, but I have to get back to work now. I am a little jealous of the people who say they’re laying around and napping all day, but also know they’re jealous of me. The people I’m NOT jealous of are the moms, I think they have it rough right now and the few I follow on social seem to really be feeling it! If that’s you and you’re looking for something to fill the time, My mom friend Studio DIY a chocolate chip cookie recipe to try!
I’ve been working like crazy creating challenges for you on both my accounts! Color me magic has the color me park hopper challenge where over 14K people have shared their memories from the parks to bring people magic at home, pop to #colormeparkhopper to be transported!!! We also did a second challenge #boundtowatch, that gave people Disney dress up prompts and watch ideas on Disney plus! On color me Courtney we’ve done a positivity challenge, and it’s really cool to see you guys practice your positivity every day! I’ve been super inspired by a new beauty account I’ve found (Victoria Lyn) to step into beauty more, both personally and professionally! Plus I stay obsessed with snichery and want to spend some time getting lost in her videos. She’s already transformed how I do my eye makeup! OH and if you’re feeling super bored, you can try the quarantine pillow challenge!!! Tag me if you share it so I can see it!
K well thanks for coming to this start of the week ramble! If you’re looking for more ways to keep you entertained, make sure you read my 150 things to do in quarantine list and my what to watch on Disney plus and Hulu lists! OH and don’t forget no matter what: if you’re working 14 hour days or taking 4-hour taps, you’re still valuable and worthy and loved and special and pretty and funny and perfect just the way you are 🙂 promise
Today’s movie answer:
🗡💥🧚♀️💔🎭👩🏼🦰🎶🎹 = get over it
This is a movie I’ve loved forever, it’s that teen garbage romcom we all need right now! There’s a dash of Shakespeare, Kirstin Dunst, CISCO (yep lol), a musical, a walking down the street flash mob moment and so much more. You can stream it on HBO go or HBO now if you have it!
