Color Me Cream

Hey cuties!!! Or maybe I should say my little creme de la cremes?! Okay, okay, I realize that might be confusing, so let me explain

Every month I do a “color of the month” full of color science, outfit inspiration and just general color-obsession. The goal is to introduce you to the featured color, especially if it s one you would never wear. The goal is to make it more accessible and digestible for you. Over the past 2 years (2018 & 2019) I’ve done everything from lilac to lemon and barbie pink to cherry red, but I’ve never dared to explore neutrals (gasp) until now! For January, I’ve doing something kind of crazy, and exploring a color I swore I would never do.

For 2020 our FIRST color of the month is: CREAM!

I know what you’re thinking and the answer is yes — I m all right, but thanks for worrying about me! I can understand why you might be totally confused by this selection. As the self-proclaimed queen of color, neutrals are never really in my vocabulary, let alone my wardrobe. So the idea of wearing cream for a month makes me feel this weird combination of crazy and terrified. It s actually attacking my confidence? and I ve only been dabbling for a few days. BUT WHATEVER WE RE DOING THIS

SO WHY CREAM? Well aside from the fact that it s so totally out of my comfort zone, and I m that crazy kind of person who likes to PUSH myself, it s also mostly for you (you re welcome). Everyday I get a DM, comment or email that says I wish I could wear that or I love that you we re color but I couldn t pull it off okay well that s just wrong. The truth is YOU CAN PULL IT OFF but you just don t know it let. ENTER ME (she says in parentheses) I m here be your color-me-godmother and help you dip your toe into the rainbow glass slipper you thought would never fit.

SO THIS MONTH we re taking things back to basics with and whole intro of how to wear color. So even the queen of cream, the gal who only wears black can learn how to dress outside the lines. We re starting at square one, so there is actually no excuse, exciting right?!
