Orange,
Color of the Month – Coral!
Hello! And welcome back to my color of the month series, with our newest color: CORAL!
Throughout this post you’ll find coral looks from my past.
About the Color Of The Month:
Last year I began doing a deep dive on a new color each month, and this year we’re taking it to the next level! This year I’ll be collaborating with a few crazy amazing brands, teaming up with a few bloggers along the way and exploring new bounds of each color ! I’m really excited for all we’ve been planning and can’t wait to share it with you! Plus I’ll be giving away LOTS of coral goodies as we go, all you have to do is be active and comment on my blog posts and instagram posts, I’ll be randomly selecting active cuties and reaching out to give them gifts! If you’re commenting on the blog post, be sure to use your email address in the comments so I can contact you!
Hello Coral: So for January we’re kicking things off with the color of the year, Living Coral! I usually start of each month by explaining about why I selected that color tp feature, but I think this one is self explanatory. Each year Pantone picks a color of the year, and the color for 2019 is Living Coral. Pantone describes the hue as “An animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge”. I find coral as playful, bold and whimsical. It pushes me to explore with other fun color combos and experiment with outfits more than so many other hues. I actually love it SO MUCH that I featured it as one of my final colors last month, so I guess I was a little ahead of the trend ;).
50 shades of Coral: Pantone’s color of the year is a bright and almost neon shade, but we’ll explore all aspects of the color here at Color Me Courtney. Everything from peach to tomato will be on the table and I’ll even talk about how to search for this sometimes hard to find hue in future posts.
Shop Coral: I think I’ve had to invest more in this color of the month than ever before, for a few reasons. First, coral isn’t really a winter color, so most of the coral pieces I own show more skin than the current weather would allow. Secondly, I wanted to get as many true “living coral” pieces as possible, so I had to buy a bunch! And finally, because I want to give you a diverse level of curated coral content here so I just had to really go for it. Below you’ll find a bunch of coral pieces I found when doing my research, some you’ll see styled in future posts and some are just rounded up here so – get shopping!
