Bundled Up
Incase you haven’t noticed, I’m kind of a creature of habit especially with my sense of style. There are certain pieces that I can’t stop wearing, for Fall my knee high boots and blanket scarf is at the top of that list!
When the weather gets grey and soggy I am left with two options – stay in and snuggle with Waffles (always a win) or bundle up and venture out into the storm … often while pretending I’m in London and talking in a British accent #brillant. Although a Gilmore Girl marathon with my French Bulldog in my lap is always temping, I tried to step out and shake off the storm, but couldn’t do so without my current fashion favorites oh and a giant chai tea latte!
I’ve worn my new BFF’s in multiple ways, but today they are coming together with a little trendy twist. For this look, I did a little pattern play (are you surprised?) by pairing my plaid blanket scarf with this heathered grey coat! I turned this Old Navy oxblood skirt which is more of a midi length into a mini by rolling the waist band a few times to shorten then length and show a little skin between my knee high boots! All though I am on a repeat offendor with wearing and rewearing my blanket scarf and knee high boots, the star of this look has to be the veil beanie – it was such a different look for me that I had to give it a whirl and I’m so glad I did! A veil beanie goes great with a blanket scarf, leather leggings and a sweater, pretty much any all black look, a leather jacket or a skirt/coat/boot combination like me!
