Black & Gold
If I ruled the world, all skirts would be tiered with tulle and all breakfast items would be covered in sprinkles – oh and life would be awesome. If I could (and who says I can’t) I would wear a tulle skirt everyday of the week, and this week on the blog I practically did (on monday post and tuesday post) so it’s only natural that we make this it a triple tulle threat and end the week with a bang! Like Red, I would wear tulle skirts year around (because I have serious issues) but some people are less likely to have a princess moment on a rando wednesday in Spring. But when the tree goes up & the carolers come out it totally changes people, and we’re all eager to get a little *spiffy* for holiday parties on the horizon or whatever festive activities you’re getting into. So if you’re too on the tinsel train (choo-choo) a tulle skirt might be just what you need to bring some serious joy to your world & wardrobe this season.Have you ever had instant outfit inspo? The fashion brain works in mysterious ways my friends. I was shopping at piperlime and fell in love with this sparkly little shirt. I added to cart and had an immediate outfit epiphany, I swear I had a total that’s-so-raven moment and everything (okay, I shouldn’t have said swear cause that was kind of a lie, but you get the gist). Anywayyysss, after I came to I knew I needed a black tulle skirt, leopard clutch and sparkly shoes to complete my epic fashion vision for this look. Sparkly shoes were a no brainer, I only have 13 trillion pairs on display in my living room (jk about the trillion, but not about the display sitch, #Ihaveissues). My leopard clutch is back ordered because my life sucks (Sad face) so I borrowed from this mega babe and was happy to have an “excuse” to splurge on this amazing tulle skirt that I have been eying since the dawn of time… Sorry bank account.Gold check, Tulle check, Leopard Check, Sequins Check – now all that was left is to twirl (or just shake it). The only thing that could have made this look more holiday ready is a statement earring – Hey Santa I’ve been eyeing these BaubleBar pretties, and I’ve been really good all year ;).I love this look for Christmas parties, dinner with the fam or a festive date night (don’t forget the mistletoe) but I think I would wear it for new years eve! Everyone will be in super sparkly body con dresses – borrringgg – so bringing the drama in a big tulle number will really help you stand out & make a statement! I’m totally considering wearing something tulleriffic (sorry, that was awful) for New Year’s … or something soft, striped and silky as I watch Pretty Little Liars and The One Direction movie from my bed like a real party animal – you know you’re jealous.Shirt via Piperlime || Skirt via Bloomindgales (also here & here)
Kate Spade Shoes (old, love these) || Leopard Clutch thx to Miss Daisy
