Warm & Fuzzy + Where I Shop

I love a good faux fur coat, I actually have one in almost every color. Today I’m taking two of them for a spin and styling them with coral, one look is dressed up and the other is down but they both use fun color combos and the same turtleneck.

As our coral month comes to a close, I wanted to share some tips for shopping for coral. Coral is one of those colors that can be hard to find because it hides under many names. So today I’ll share my favorite places to shop for clothes and how I found coral pieces in each of the places.

Coral key words – so these were the different key words I typed into each of my favorite websites when shopping for our color of the month. These terms included: coral, salmon, peach, tangerine (cue the “heyyyy tangerinesss”), poppy, red/orange, neon and fluro. I would also find myself sifting through the orange, pink and red sections hunting for coral.

On the hunt – when I’m on the hunt for something specific and I haven’t been able to find it in one of my goto shops, I do one of three things. First I’ll go to shopstyle and use their search features to look for something, like: coral fur coat. If I dont get desired results based on the search terms, I’ll make them less specific like “fur coat” and then shop by color. For coral I would select pink, red and orange before hunting through. Next, I’ll go to google either searching In the shopping or sometimes just google image searching – both can warrant really great results with minimal effort. Sometimes the images will take you to something out of date or no longer available, so I like to start with shopping when I can. Finally, I’ll use Pinterest. Again, you mind find something you love here thats 10 years old and no longer available, so its not for the faint of heart. But sometimes you’ll find yourself on a random blog (heyyyy) that leads you to that perfect coral fur coat.
