Pink Bathroom

The other day I shared my fall scent which sparked some questions about my bathroom, so I thought I would give you a mini tour!

Outside my bathroom there are two Pantone art pieces I designed, I actually designed 10 of these throughout my apartment. Each one corresponds to the room, I’ll chat more about this later in my art tour but essentially I have a pink and red piece outside my bathroom because it is pink and red. The pink one outside my bathroom is my mean girls piece pictured in the first photo in this post.

Most of our apartment is tailored to both mine and Paris’s style – and the bathroom is no exception. Paris actually really likes the color blush, he almost talked me into getting a blush sofa but we went with green instead! I also wanted my bathroom to be a place of representation for women of color and curvy girls, people I work to rep for on a daily basis but aren’t always reflected in the media or even art. I start and end my day in there, so thought if I could make it a place that celebrates curls and color it would help boost my confidence or at least make me happy every day – and it totally does.

Each room in my apartment has a theme, the bathroom’s theme is confidence and “pop” culture – so you’ll see nods to some of my favorite disney characters (there are two in there, can you spot them? ), lots of representation for curly hair and brown/black skin tones, the modern day Schuyler Sisters from Hamilton and more. Each piece was uniquely selected because it’s important to either me or Paris in a special way, and I love having them in my home.
