April’s Color of the Month

In case you didn’t know, this year I’m focusing on a new color every month! January was red …

Today I’m super excited to announce this months color … Lilac!

A few days ago I asked you guys to guess this months featured color on instagram and you guys pretty much all got it, I guess I’m not so sneaky. Nevertheless, I’m still pretty pumped about our month of purple!

WHY LILAC:
So if you’ve been following me for a while you know I LOVE COLOR but I hate purple. In fact until last fall it was the one color I wouldn’t wear. I explain it all here in this post, but long story short I challenged myself to get over this fear last fall and dive into deep purple … so I did just that and kind of fell in love. Now with spring in full swing and Ultra Violet as 2018’s color of the year, we’re seeing a whole lot of lilac wondering around the runway so I decided to indulge.

LET’S DO THIS:
So this month we’ll cover lilac looks, perfect purple pairings, lavender inspired beauty bits & more, so get excited! Since you guys haven’t seemed that into the playlists, I’m skipping it this month and bringing you more beauty instead both here & on my youtube channel. PLUS to take things up a notch I’ll be publishing new content (most of it lilac related) here daily & asking you to hop on board with publishing your purple content on instagram with the tag #colormelilac
