Crazy for Colorblock
I’m kind of crazy for color – so when I have the opportunity to double my color and double my crazy all in one outfit, I’m so totally down!
I’ve never met a candy colored sweater I didn’t love! While most choose to done red, green or (another personal favorite) the ugly sweater for December – sometimes I like to switch things up with nontraditional festive colors. My go to is usually turquoise and red, BUT I also love how red orange and pink look all year around – lately I’ve been pairing then with (stay with me on this) burgundy – I know it’s a super weird color combo on paper but with the right pieces it kind of works.
I spotted this beanie and instantly fell in love with it – it combines baby pink, hot pink, red/orange, burgundy and plum all in one cute hat – OBSESSED! Once I found this sweater (also from old navy) that matches just enough, but not too much I was totally smitten! To keep things color blocked I paired it with an Old Navy burgundy skirt (one of my favorites) boots, a matching pink coat and light pink bag! I kept things red orange on the lips to tie things together, but easily could have gone burgundy, baby pink or plum too!
If you told me you would put orange, burgundy, pink, orange, grey and plum in one outfit – I would probably call you crazy, but sometimes color combos are just crazy enough to work! So I totally encourage you to try to step out of your color-comfort zone – take a chance, you might just surprise yourself, or at the very least have a good laugh at the craziness you create 🙂 If you try a crazy color combo and want a second opinion , send me a DM on insta, twitter or snapchat (xocourtneyquinn) and I’ll help you out!

PS – These photos were snapped when I spent the day showing my bestie Kristin around New York while she visited, we met in Columbus circle, walked uptown through Central Park before catching a cab down to Bryant Park to explore the shops at the Winter Village and people watch the skaters!
