Ice Cream Machine

Hi I’m Courtney and I can’t stop wearing yellow or eating ice cream… yeah, I’m kind of a mess.

You know when you’re a kid and you’re eating ice cream or something melty and sticky and gross and it starts to drip and drizzle all over your hand and face and mouth and clothes until you’re just covered in some icky-sticky (hopefully chocolate) mess and you look ridiculous but you don’t care because you’re eating ice cream and you’re like 5 so you feel like a rock star, a really sticky rock star on a crazy sugar high? Yeah that’s pretty much me in a nutshell, like all the time. Like I said, I’m a mess.

Not sure what it is about desserts that turns me into a sprinkles monster? Most of the year I’m all about the donuts but come summer, I change my tune real quick and eat nothing but ice       cream. Honestly I have ice cream like twice every weekend and even one or twice during the week – whoops. And honestly I am probably being a little too honest about how much ice cream I eat, but whatever, now you know, I have a problem. And besides we’re basically besties, right? right and besties don’t keep things from each other, oh and besties also don’t judge other besties for the issues they have with ice cream…. so yeah, remember that 😉

I have been just as addicted to bright solid colors this summer – they are just so fresh and feel so right this season. Orange and Yellow tend to be my go-to hues, especially since I ended up buying not one but two yellow skirts this season so I find myself wearing so-much of this color that I used to fear (read why here, just come back after, kay thanks!).

Anyways, I am totally loving the yellow on yellow combo of this coordinating outfit – double the color and double the fun! I did add to the playful nature of the look with white keds (my go-to shoe) and a big turquoise bow because why the heck not and hey if you’re going to act like a toddler and eat like a toddler, might as well kind of sort of look like one as well! Oh and since keds and a big bow weren’t quite enough for me, I added a little ireidesent touch with this lilac eye liner from Cynthia Rowley’s awesome new make up line that I am kind of ice-cream-level obsessed with.
