Who says basics have to be basic?! Today I’m styling cotton basics 25 ways and remixing your jeans & tee combo in sponsorships with Cotton.

I’ll be honest, I don’t wear many basics! I wear more dresses than jeans and more twirl-worthy skirts than tees, but when I do invest in basics I invest in cotton! Today I wanted to show you that you don’t have to have a ton of money or crazy amazing gowns to look cool, you can create a lot of awesome looks from cotton basics in your closet!! Here are 25 looks made from t-shirts, turtlenecks & cotton Oxford shirts all centered around denim!!

Did you know denim is made from cotton?! I’ll admit I didn’t until I started working with Cotton! In fact, your denim isn’t even reaallllyyy authentic denim unless it’s cotton!! Crazy right?! So, when I shop for new jeans I look for a few things: a high waist, comfort and cotton. I like to make sure my denim is 90% or more cotton with maybe a little bit of stretch for a few reasons!

Cotton is a plant grown on farms, it’s natural where most fabrics just aren’tDenim is a wardrobe staple for almost everyone, and even though I don’t wear jeans a lot, when I do, I want to feel confident and not stressed about where my clothing is coming from. Cotton denim also just lasts and wears longer than any other kind. Since I’ve started investing in 90%+ cotton denim, my jeans last longer and wear stronger than the alternative! Finally, my cotton denim is just comfier than the alternative. I like jeans with a tiny bit of stretch (this pair is 99% cotton, 1% spandex) so I can pull them on over my peach without compromising on construction. Overall, checking that tag before you purchase a new pair of jeans will save you money and time in the long run!
