Lilac X2
Today’s look has a little bit of lilac, and by a little bit – I mean a lot!
I’m all about pastels right now, they’re the perfect way to swing you into Spring! Depending on where you’re living, you might not be quite ready to take off the layers, so for today’s look I’m showing two different ways I wore this outfit – both in the frigid cold and on one of those pre-spring days!I’m a sucker for spots, especially when they’re plastered all over in a polka dot pattern! I found this cute little dress and thought it was just my style! I had also just picked up some lilac poms, a new lilac purse, and this cute little lilac coat – so it only made sense for me to have a full on purple party and really commit to this hue!
For the cold weather version, I paired this dress with bits of black – a black fur snood, OTK boots, two pairs of fleece lined tights and a little black bag. To add an element of fun to the bag, I tripled up on the poms for an extra pop of color! I even wore my leather jacket under my lilac coat for extra warmth! This dress is actually navy, but I think navy and black pair really well together so I didn’t hesitate to mix and match.
For the spring version, I went with the same coat and dress combo but skipped the leather jacket and OTK boots.
Instead, I paired it with bare legs and nude pumps – side note, these new nudies are my new favorites! The color is perfect for my skin tone, and even if it wasn’t – the suede so it kind of gives you some wiggle room on finding the perfect match while the nude makes your legs look longer!
For the spring style, I went with a lighter lip and a brighter bag for that extra pop! I think one of my favorite parts about dressing for spring is it gives you a chance to really lighten things up and brighten up your styles!
